The Weekend..

Mother and January came to Mason for the day on Sunday. The wreath in the store was still decorated for Christmas and January hadn't seen the store yet, so it was a trip a long time coming. We had a good time just hanging out, and I thought I would share a few pictures. I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

For those who think I am not big enough yet,
a side by side comparison puts things in perspective. (31 weeks)

Week 30 Check-Up

Baby and I had our 30 week check-up yesterday and Dr. Harris says everything is perfectly normal. Baby's heartbeat is strong, and Mommy's weight and measurements are right on target. I weighed in at 150 lbs., another 3 lbs. in the last two weeks makes 14 lbs so far.
She said it is a good thing when you are the least exciting patient in the office.
Here's a few pics for the belly lovers.

We're Making Progress

Garrett and Hunter have been hard at work on the metal framing of our new home.
It's starting to look like an actual building that could possibly be a house sometime in the future.

7 Month Update

Garrett and I went to Fredericksburg for our 7 month check-up yesterday, and we experienced the 3-D sonogram, which was pretty awesome. My doctors office has just recently gotten this new technology so the technician was still a little rough around the edges, but we brought home some pretty good pictures of Baby's face despite his/her endless attempts to block our view. Baby had it's feet and hands right in the way the entire time. We tried everything from laying on my side during the sonogram to walking around the room to get Baby to change positions but he/she is very stubborn. Baby must get that from Garrett. At previous appointments Baby has been very active, but yesterdays appt. was after lunch rather than in the morning, and Baby yawned at least 4 times during the sonogram. Must've been the Mexican food we had for lunch.

Mommy has gained another 5 lbs., weighing in at 147, that's 11 lbs. so far. Doctor Harris says the size of the baby and the heartbeat, 147 beats/minute, look and sound great. Only 9 to 12 weeks to go and I can't wait. Baby will be here before we know it.
Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

Baby definitely has Garrett's full lips!

The Nursery is coming along...

About a month ago my friend, Jeri, and I painted the baby's room. Although this room is only temporary until our house is finished, it really needed some help. And I am so mad at myself for not taking "before" pics but I'll tell you the color it was before was NOT good.
After we got the room painted, Garrett and I assembled the crib (compliments of Pap and Cindy) and we recently received and assembled the matching changing table (compliments of Angie and Papa Juan). Thanks for the wonderful gifts.
Here are a few pictures of our new baby furniture and I also tried to take a picture of the fabrics that will used to make the baby bedding for those of you who haven't seen it yet.

Woody was not amused with my idea of a picture of him in the crib....

Weekend on the Pecos River

Garrett and I finally got a chance to join the Brown/Stuart family on the Pecos River for the weekend, and I just had to share a few pictures with everyone. I never realized that West Texas had such beautiful sites. (Of course, I've never been very far west either.) The cactus were blooming and the river was up; we had a really great, very relaxing weekend. I hope you all did as well.
