Quick Update

Sorry it's been so long since my last post, but I have been a busy little bee the last few weeks. I had a wonderful shower here in Mason on June 17th, and then the week after that I was in Dallas for Market.
Up to this point I have been really proud of myself for staying so active and still doing all the things I was doing before. I have been walking about a mile every morning, working in the garden some, mowing the yard, etc. But this week I've noticed that I am much tireder, much faster. I don't know if I'm just worn out from all the walking/shopping/standing at Market or if the biggness of pregnancy is just starting to kick in. Either way I've been taking things a lot easier this week, my 35th week of pregnancy.
At my 34 week check-up Dr. Harris say everything still looks really great, and I am still right on schedule with my August 1st due date. I am now weighing 152 lbs., which means I've gained 16 lbs so far, but I'm sure there's more to come in the next few weeks.
I am posting a few pics of me and Trip working on mowing the yard and some on the progress we've made on the new house and garden. We will have tomatoes before you know it. We've already picked peppers, okra and two cherry tomatoes.

32 Weeks

I had my 32 week check up yesterday. Dr. Harris did the usual weighing and measuring, and it turns out I am still the most boring chart in the office. I haven't gained any weight since my last appointment, so I'm holding steady at 150 lbs for now. The baby's heartbeat was 137 beats per minute. Dr. Harris says that is average, neither fast nor slow but just right. I really feel very fortunate to have had such an uneventful pregnancy up to this point. I know that's not the case for a lot of women, so I thank my lucky stars that my only complaint is an occasional backache.

And on a sad note, for those of you who haven't heard, our precious little wiener dog, Woody, was snake-bitten and past away on Monday. We are very sad to have lost him and miss him very much already. I'm just glad to be carrying Baby Bownds to help keep me distracted and give me something wonderful to look forward to.
